I am a freelance scenic designer based in the Washington, DC area. I enjoy collaborating with my fellow creative team members to create a dynamic stage picture that both holds the story and provides exciting tools with which to tell it. In 2018, I was honored to receive the Rising Star Award from USITT, an award that honors young professionals in the beginning of their career. Regionally, I've recently designed at The Muny in St. Louis, the Arden in Philadelphia, Asolo Rep in Sarasota, the John W. Engeman Theatre in Long Island, and Bristol Riverside Theatre in Bristol, PA. In the DC area, I have recently designed at Arena Stage, Signature Theatre, Round House Theatre, Olney Theatre Center, Theater J, Woolly Mammoth, the Kennedy Center, Folger Theater, Adventure Theatre, Imagination Stage, Everyman Theatre, and Studio Theatre. I received my MFA in Scenic Design from the University of Maryland and my BFA in Scenic Design from the University of Oklahoma.
It's been a while since I've update this! What a challenging year and a half- but I'm so happy that live theater is slowly making a comeback. My season is about to kick off with a remount of Becoming Dr. Ruth at Theater J, which just began rehearsal, and I'm currently in the design process for Rent at Signature Theater, a world-premiere adaptation or A Christmas Carol by Zak Berkman at People's Light, and The Three Musketeers directed by Laura Kepley at Cleveland Play House. It's going to be a full year!
